The Raildude project's objective is to provide detailed and professional information about train travel in Europe and neighbouring regions (Russia, Middle-East, Northern Africa, China). All provided information is based on extensive research and experiences from real travellers. Raildude is no anonymous company, but an enthusiastic group of rail travellers. We are independent and honest.
Raildude is not a highly commercialized project. User data is not misused for the purpose of advertising. It is our aim to promote honest, peaceful and ecological travelling. The information is always updated and we welcome the participation of all users. Anyone can add information and report their own experiences.
Raildude was founded in 1996 by Peter Freisberg
under the name "InterRail.net" , originally specializing exclusively on the rail pass "InterRail". In 2011 the platform was renamed to "Raildude", with the intention of also offering information about other rail passes and rail tickets on the one hand, as well as to highlight our independence of railway companies on the other hand. We want to focus on human beings and on travelling, not on saling tickets and making profit. Furthermore, we want to point with our project out that InterRail is not always the cheapest way to travel and usually travel information on InterRail is also interesting for other types of rail tickets.
The work we do, including programming and our online forum as well as the server are financed through the sales of official train tickets and passes through our online shop.
If you like the idea behind our project or if you found our platform useful, then support us with the purchase of your rail tickets in our online shop.
Thank you and enjoy your train travels!
