EuRail - Conditions of use

The EuRail pass has some special conditions of use. Only non-European persons are allowed to buy EuRail. Please read the conditions of use carefully.

1 Supplements and reservation fees: for some special trains (night trains, high speed trains, ...) you will have to pay an extra fee.

2 Night trains usually need a reservation for the seat or bed category you want. Some offer free 2nd class seats.

3 EuRail is only available for non-European residents who have not lived in a European country for the past six months. Check if you need to travel by EuRail or InterRail.

4 Some ferriy companies offer reductions or free rides for InterRailers.

5 The 7 p.m. rule for night trains will help you save travel days when using your Flexible Rail pass.

6 ONE travel day lasts from 00:01 a.m. until 23:59 p.m. You can use as many trains and cross as many country borders as you want on such a travel day.

7 EuRail FLEXI Pass (XX travel days within a time frame of YY days): fill in the travel days on your ticket by yourself.

8 EuRail CONTINUOUS Pass: you can travel every day, no need to fill in any travel days on your InterRail pass.

9 The Eurail Pass is available in four categories:

- Eurail Pass GLOBAL: one rail pass for more than 20 European countries.

- Eurail SELECT Pass: select 3, 4 or 5 bordering countries in which you want to travel.

- Eurail REGIONAL Pass: available in different versions, for different European regions.

- Eurail One Country Pass: Rail Passes for single countries.

10 Before you start traveling with your purchased Eurail Pass you have to activate it. You can activate it at all larger European train stations.

11 You can purchase your Rail pass up to a maximum of THREE MONTHS in advance of your journey. We recommend to purchase your Rail Pass online: comfortable and safe here at Raildude, two to four weeks before your trip.
