Check if you need an InterRail or EuRail pass. InterRail is only available for persons who are resident of Europe for at least the past 6 months.
Keep in mind: during your trip you have to prove your country of residence by producing official documents such as an ID card, passport or a residence permit, a visa, a bank receipt or a telephone bill.
The InterRail pass is only valid for Europeans or non-Europeans who have lived in one of the following European countries (see list below) for at least the preceding six months. All others need to buy a EuRail pass.
