We arrived at the train station in Porto Sao Bento. Directly opposite the Tourist Information Centre. There, they gave us the advice to go with the bus 500 (runs directly on the promenade). Generally, we recommend purchasing a 1-day pass (5 EUR) or a 3-day ticket (11 EUR) for public transportation. Note: The cards are indeed available at the terminus of Sao Bento, but not at the Campanha - although there there are four metro lines.
