Most night trains need a supplement. But do we have to pay a reservation fees on top of that?!

I will be taking a CNL train from Vienna to Amsterdam. Because it is a popular service, I will probably reserve it as soon as I arrive in Europe - 4 weeks before the CNL train. The supplement cost for a seat on the train, I think, is 9Euro (from another website here).

So, when I reserve the ticket, what does it mean? Will I pay the 9euro supplement then, and have a guaranteed seat on the train and have to pay nothing more? Or would there be a reservation fees (3/4 euro) AND the supplement fees?

I'm looking for informations about night trains, reservations and supplemants.
I found a night train called "allegro tosca" between Roma termini and Vienna.
But I can't find informations about the cost of the reservation and the cost of the supplemant with an interrail pass. I don't know where I have to reserve a ticket.
I went in a train station in France, they were not able to help me... I can buy a ticket for this train (130€) but they can't apply the interrail option.

What can I do ??...
